Credit Union Day Message 2021

Thursday, October 21st, 2021

Dear Valued Members,

It is a pleasure to once again wish you Happy International Credit Union Day 2021, as we celebrate International Credit Union Day on Thursday 21st October 2021. International Credit Union Day celebrates the spirit of the global Credit Union movement.

The theme for International Credit Union (ICU) Day 2021 is: “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow”.

At Aero Services Credit Union, we celebrated our 71st Anniversary on 28th September 2021 and we are deeply appreciative of the small group of BWIA employees who pooled their resources and founded Aero Services Credit Union in 1950. We are equally thankful to those members and our dedicated employees, who have contributed tangibly over the years to an organization which can boast of assets under management in excess of $300 M.

Our achievements over the past 71 years have indeed been significant. From our relatively humble beginnings in 1950 with $145.00, our organization has blossomed and become resilient as evidenced by the capability to withstand the economic shocks associated with retrenchment in the aviation sector in the years 2002 – 2004, the closure of BWIA in 2006, the impact of the economic crisis from 2007 to 2009. As we confront the challenge associated with the COVID-19 global pandemic, we are confident that with the support of all our valued members, we would emerge as an organization that has proactively and successfully adapted to the requisite changes to ensure that we can continue to “Enrich The Lives Of Our Valued Members”.

Through each of the challenges, Aero Services Credit Union has continued to experience the growth of Total Assets and membership size.

We therefore encourage you to continue to partner with us, as we evolve in this ever-changing business, social and economic environment, by Increasing Awareness among our membership; Engendering the Desire to Transform the Organization; Growing in our Knowledge; Redefining our Ability to succeed and Reinforcing our Value Proposition in fervent anticipation of a significantly brighter tomorrow.

Happy International Credit Union Day!!!
